We produce a number of varients of customizable DIY motion an presence sensors.  These range from a simple Photo Infrared (PIR) motion sensor to a more complex PIR/Microwave dual sensor.   Each device is capable of applying a local set of complex rules to determine it's behavior and minimize false positives and analyze activity.   Don't like how it operates?   The software is open source and the device has a web interface which can be used to make customization.   A rule set is provided as an example but there are many things which can be modified to suit your needs.    The microwave sensor can be adjusted for intensity and range.

The sensors can communicate with each other, smart outlets, relays, brokers or controllers.   We provide a starting Node Red flow which allows remote arming, disarming, notification  via an app as well as linking to relays, lights etc. for automatic lighting control.    You can use the flow as is, or you can use it as a base for building a more involved automation system.

The system also works with our RFID readers to allow arming and disarming.  Combined with our other devices this can provide a comprehensive access control system.   The ESP8266 chip has limited support for TLS encryption.  There is only so much a $3 chip can do.   We do not recommend using this directly over the internet or insecure networks.   If you need internet support we recommend using Node Red to relay message to a secure cloud based broker like Hive MQ.

The Node Red flow comes with a dash board and web interface for monitoring and operating.  You can also use off the shelf MQTT Panel apps to enhance operation.

Need something slightly different?   We have combination PIR and Microwave sensors with relays and LED's.   Our kits often allow the swapping and rearranging of parts to make the exact device you need.

Preconfigured sensors components are available for sale individually through our shopping cart and the server is available in all Raspberry Pi based kits as well as the Virtual Starter Kit.  We also have a ready to install kit available that includes 5 motion sensors and three smart plugs for lighting control.  The system is included in virtual kit, and all Raspberry Pi based Power Sticks.

Text messaging is supported though our hosted services, or you can easily integrate with the SMS provider of your choice.   Email alerts can be sent via our hosted services or through the email provider of your choice.
