Provision Polycom Phones from Asterisk/FreePBX

Easily provision Polycom phones with your FreePBX server.   Enter settings into one line of your FreePBX server specifying MAC address, extension number, name and a few other details and automatically provision your phones.

This requires no modification to your FreePBX server other than allowing the provisioning server to connect to the MYSQL database in FreePBX.

Currently the system supports only Polycom VVX series phones but it can be modified to support just about anything by changing XML templates.

How it works.   Enter the MAC address of the phone, the name, password, and other info in the XXXXXXX field in the FreePBX extension.   Configure your phones to point to the provisioning server via http and provide the MAC address.  When the phone connects it will query the provisioning server which will insert appropriate data into the XML template and supply that to the phone.

The Node Red flows are simple and could be modified to support different types of phone or features.   It is recommended that you create a user with read privilages for the XXX table in FreePBX's MYSQL database and allow access to the provisioning server so it can query info from the database to function.
